This week I witnessed something you don't get to see everyday, and yes I was able to take some great pictures to add to my food photography adventure.
Top Chef Kentucky contestant, Chef Brian Young joined co-contestant Chef Justin Sutherland at his restaurant, Handsome Hog downtown St. Paul, MN to show off his butchery skills in a live demo for a handful local guests. Chef Brian broke down and explained the different cuts and some of the best techniques for getting the desired preparations. The 100% Duroc Pig from Beeler's Pure Pork was specially fed olive oil and black walnuts for the Bourbon and the Beast six course dinner. Take a moment to check out some of the photos from the demo and go grab a bite to eat in Lowertown's Handsome Hog sometime soon!
